Where to go with friends in London

 

London is a big and very exciting city. When your friends come here for the first time, is very hard to decide where you should take them. If you’re a Londoner yourself, probably there are still things new to you. Talk to your friends about ideas which everyone enjoy.

Before you go, make sure everyone has their travel cards, best to get those weekly one or a family day travel cards. If you decide to go sightseeing, you can start from Waterloo - try using the London Duck Tours. Duck bus takes you on a tour of London on land before sliding into the River Thames! A tour lasts 75 minutes and it’s a great fun.

When you get back, there are more interesting features of Waterloo. Go on the London Eye to have a look from above standing inside of the tallest glass water wheel.

You can also look around for a tour with a guide to take you on a special event. If you like to feel creepy, take a walk with a guide at Jack the Ripper Walking Tour. As the darkness falls venture back to London in 1888 when Jack the Ripper terrorised the streets at night. Walk the sites where he butchered his victims and find yourself stumped ... If your friends fancy secrets combined with history you can take them for The Da Vinci Code Trail where you can follow in the footsteps of the best selling novel The Da Vinci Code. Now is your chance to see the sites described in the book, and hear the facts behind the fiction.

If you would like to go for a slow walk in the green parks watching a bit of wildlife, you can go to Hyde Park at Lancaster Gate and go all the way to Knightsbridge. The park is huge and has many water features, statues, ponds and food bars. At Knightsbridge you can spend some cash on posh clothes or food from Harrods or Harvey Nichols. Your credit card will love these stores!

Don’t miss out the natural History Museum which is totally free and still one of the best museums in London. It’s situated inside of enormous Italian-Renaissance building, divided in parts of many science topic. You can see dinosaur bones, biological schemes, animal models, stones, astronomy or being inside of the sun or experience the earth quake!

Now, if you’re tired of walking you can have a rest at one of the Starbucks coffee bar or go to Pizza Hut to chill out and check what on your camera already.
