One of the sightseeing targets would be old London wal l. It is a fairly long walk but can easily be done in two parts: from Monument to St Pauls (stopping at St Pauls tube) and from St Pauls to Tower Hill.
You will pass through some of the oldest established parts of London and see both the start and end points of the Great Fire. Other features of this walk include the Bank of England, St Bart's hospital (the oldest in London) and what is probably London's most popular historical attraction, the Tower of London. You will also see parts of the Roman wall and where London's most famous mayor, Dick Whittington, lived and was buried. If you want to enjoy modern part of London you travel to Waterloo for a 3 hours walk around. Start from Waterloo Station. This walk will take you along the south bank of the river Thames, past a number of places of interest, both modern and historical. They include Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the South Bank Centre, the Tate Modern, Southwark Cathedral and the church where Dickens' Little Dorritt was married.
You will also see or pass under 8 of London's many bridges and go through one of the oldest, and perhaps least explored, areas of the city. It is one of the more peaceful walks around London and there are plenty of opportunities for eating, drinking and resting along the way.
