Theme and adventure parks around London

London is famous for museums, castles, restaurants and pubs. If you have a look on what around it you can discover much more. Theme parks and big attraction are located around this beautiful city.

- Chessington World of Adventures. In the beginning, Chessington was a nondescript zoo with a few fairground rides tacked on. Now, Chessington World of Adventures is a fun-packed theme park. It¡¯s a fun day out for all the family and all of the rides have the same low height limit of 3ft 11¡±. Despite this, the park still boasts a couple of genuine white-knuckle rides that are bound to spice up half-term. The Vampire is a vast, floorless rollercoaster that whips between trees and buildings, while the Dragon Fury hurtles and spins its riders round precipitous loops and bends. Toadie¡¯s Crazy Cars, Tiny Truckers and Dennis¡¯s Madhouse in Beanoland are hugely popular with the tots.
Much of the original zoo remains. Over recent years it has begun to look increasingly sad and incongruous, but it has been given a new lease of life with the arrival of three Asiatic lion cubs and Kumi the gorilla. The safari offers panoramic views over the park and a good angle on the some animal compounds ¨C especially the penguins, otters and sea lions.
Regular trains run from Waterloo. It takes half an hour, with just a 10 minute walk to the park entrance on arrival.

- Thorpe Park. Huge adventure park for thrill seekers. Feel the force of being propelled 205ft in the air; from 0 to 80MPH in under 2 seconds! 0.3 seconds faster than in 2006! Every year¡¯s added new features attract everyone. This years new ride is called ¡®The Flying Fish¡¯. In its long standing history, The Flying Fish has taken thousands of visitors on a radical ride around the track, surrounded by gardens, bushes and waterfalls. Now the fish has come home to Thorpe Park, ready to thrill a whole new generation of little adrenaline junkies with a cool new look! For families wanting a fun, fast, first time rollercoaster, get your shades on and head straight down to Amity Cove to take a ride!

- Legoland Windsor. Legoland Windsor is a unique family theme park dedicated to the imagination and creativity of children of all ages.
Learn to drive a Lego car, pan for pirate gold, ride the dragon in the Dragon Knight's Castle, or brave the Pirate Falls, it's up to you.
The Hall of Fame is a highlight for adults accompanying children, and the park keeps itself up-to-date with Lego sculptures based around recent developments.
Legoland is a long-running and well-loved national treasure. Everybody should go there at least once, and the best time to visit is when your offspring are just discovering Lego.
