How to take good pictures
Most of us like taking pictures but not everyone has own studio where you can choose your lightning and arrange the background. Printing out nice picture can be very rewarding. What to do to make your pictures better?
If you¡¯re taking picture indoor, make sure there is a lot of light. Very often extra flash is needed as it prevents your object to look blurry or too dark. Even when your camera doesn¡¯t show it needs more light it¡¯s good to keep flash on. Make sure you have your battery ready as flash uses much more power than usual shot.
Try to put your object on a background with different colour than your object to make it visible. Try to avoid mirrors, windows, lamps and other sources that can reflect light.
When you have your target ready, think of the composition.
If you¡¯re making picture of a person standing ahead try to find the centre of your picture. Don¡¯t cut people¡¯s hands unless you¡¯re making a portrait. Don¡¯t let more of ceiling got to your picture or more blank space than your target¡¯s body. Try to catch as much as you can. Leave small ¡®borders¡¯ around your target.
Remember, huge zoom is not always a good idea, try to keep your picture sharp.
If you¡¯re taking picture of two or three people, make sure everyone is positioned correctly in your picture, don¡¯t cut one person shoulders while you left more space and background on the opposite side. Try to find a centre. Do the same when taking picture of a whole family.
If you¡¯re armed with your camera outdoor, seek for the sun. Sunny days give us great opportunities for better quality pictures. Always take a picture standing in the same direction the sun is shining, otherwise your targets may becomes shadowy silhouettes. Warm sun will give you excellent light source so you don¡¯t need flash. It often saturates your picture in rich colours.
