Cocktail parties can be a nightmare when we spend all day sitting next to colorful drinks or food yawning. What to do to have fun at a cocktail party.
Choose your best and most sexy clothes; don’t wear anything up to date and clean, go for the extreme and show up with spit-up on your shoulder, an incorrectly buttoned blouse and a crazed look in your eye. Everyone will be looking at you thinking of what could happen on your way here. Bring a lot of photos, with your sexy looks or your children or guys you dated or want to say you did. Talk about your children's talent, school success or sports, Express your admiration of them as human beings. Lie if you must. Expect envy that you actually like spending time with your children. Accept isolation; as your cocktail party mates trade work stories and measure each other up by the cars they drive, step aside and watch dispassionately. Do you want their lives? Are you happy with yours? Do they know that when they reach the end of their lives. Talk with the working moms. They have more in common than society would like them to think. They would be happy to trade domestic stories, so long as they sense your acceptance of their life, as you would want them to accept yours.
