Extreme London entertainment
You have seen museums, you have been shopping. Still want more? Try one of more exciting and extreme activities!
Westway Climbing Centre. Probably the best climbing wall in London, with excellent supervision and facilities, and climbs to suit all levels of ability. Be warned - this is an exhausting sport. Professional climbers can lift their own bodyweight by their fingertips and first timers often find this sport extremely tough. However, even at very beginner levels, this is among the most rewarding extreme sports there are. Extremely satisfying.
- UK Bungee Club. Close your eyes, count to three, and dive from 170ft above water with nothing more than a rubber cord attached to your ankles!!!! You will plunge to the ground at 60 mph for the adrenaline rush of a life time. This has to be the ultimate experience and something you will never forget.
- Argonauts Diving. This friendly, professional diving club based in Central London has been running for 30 years, and is now based at the Queen Mother Sports centre which boasts a diving pool with a floor that can be lowered. The Argonauts are a friendly club where members keep in touch. You can learn to dive with first rate instructors, and there are regular dives organised which cater for all levels of experience. At least a couple of trips to warmer climates are thrown together annually.
- Biggin Hill Helicopters. Experience the thrilling feeling of piloting a helicopter. After a short briefing with your private instructor, you will soar around the local area and actually get to fly the helicopter yourself. Back at the Airfield, it is your chance to master the hover!
